Dr Ulrike Senior is a Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) Accredited General Practitioner with a strong interest in providing families with evidence-based support for challenges they may face in the first year after bringing their baby home.

Born in South Africa, Dr Ulrike Senior completed school on the Gold Coast after her family relocated here. She completed her Doctor of Medicine in Adelaide at Flinders University in 2014, her speciality training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in early 2020 and developed a passion for helping families navigate the early years, where she completed her Diploma in Child Health and her Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) accreditation, also known as the Possums Program.

As a recent first-time mum herself, she understands the need for supportive evidence-based care in a world of conflicting information overload.

Private billing applies to all Dr Ulrike Senior patients including children and concession card holders.

All Physicians co-located at her MEDICAL have their own choice and fee policies any discounting, direct billing or reduced billing is at their individual discretion.

Home Visit Review

For reviews that require follow up earlier than 1 week duration based on clinical discretion, the patient will be offered either a phone/video consult or a home visit review.

Speciality consultations are more complex than others and often require longer appointments.

Implanon Insertion Procedure: $245.00 (rebate $71.80) plus device

Iron Infusion Procedure: $275.00 (rebates $39.75) Plus Iron Vials

Antenatal Feeding Information Session: 30 Minute Duration $175.00 with Medicare rebate of $42.40.

Breastfeeding/Bottle Feeding Initial: Total cost for you and your baby $350.00

Divided into $175.00 each for mother and baby.

Dr Ulrike Senior Telehealth Appointments

Whilst telehealth may be easier and more convenient for some, telehealth is not supported as a replacement for face-to-face consultations.

Telehealth consultations are phone appointments that are privately billed accordingly:

MBS Standard Telehealth consultations: $95.00 (rebate $39.75) Standard consultation
MBS Long Telehealth consultations: $175 (rebate $76.95). Complex consultation

Telehealth appointments are made online via Hot Doc.

Credit card details are stored for prompt payment at the conclusion of the consultation.

Disclaimer: Medicare rebates for Telehealth consultations are only available for existing patients of her MEDICAL, patients must have been seen in the clinic within the last 12 months.

NEW PATIENTS to the practice, DO NOT meet the eligibility to receive a Medicare rebate.

Dr Ulrike Senior Script and Referral Policy

If you have been seen in the last 3 months and require e a repeat prescription for treatment which Dr Senior has previously prescribed, you may be able to receive a script without consultation. Individual circumstances apply and consideration to doctors' availability should be made.

Communication with Dr Ulrike Senior

Whilst email is generally an accepted form of communication it is not a favoured form with respect to clinical details. To protect patients' privacy, Dr Senior requests that the patient conduct any clinical discussions via telehealth or face-to-face. Messages can be relayed to Dr Senior however she is unable to accept phone calls whilst consulting.

Dr Ulrike Senior / Results / Reminder policy

Generally, Dr Senior will not give results over the phone unless prearranged. Patients should attend for Dr Senior to provide clinical interpretation of investigations prior to them being released to patients.

If a recall appointment is necessary reception staff will contact, you to book a non-urgent appointment.

Dr Ulrike is committed to preventative care and conducts routine reminder systems for regular patients. Consent is assumed unless you prefer to “opt Out” of this valued service.

Dr Ulrike Senior Medical Certificates

Medical certificates are legal documents. They must be issued on the day of your consultation/examination and cannot be issued retrospectively or post-dated. If you require a medical certificate, you must see Dr Wyndham on the day of your illness.

Dr Ulrike Senior Transfer of Clinical History

Your signed authority/consent is required for privacy and confidentiality purposes and documented in your clinical file before we can forward medical information.

All requests from 3rd parties must be within 12-month-old and will be relayed to you for consent prior to sending encrypted or password protected. Clinical information is sent encrypted and or password protected for 2-step authentication.

Dr Ulrike Senior after hours policy

My usual consulting hours:

Monday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Home Visits are available if discuss prior with Dr Senior and needed on a day other then Monday.

Afterhours are before 8:00 am and after 6:00 pm on weekdays. All day Saturday is after hours and incurs after-hours rates.

After Hours triage is available from 8.00 pm to 8.00 am on 0451 307 858 an upfront fee of $330.00 applies as this service is not bulk billed. Additional services (suturing etc) are charged at the practice fee rate. Receipts will be issued, and claims will be transmitted to Medicare for reimbursement.

Dr Senior accommodates urgent care even if she is fully booked as a priority, practice team members are vigilant of the need to detect and place requests for urgent care for immediate or timely attention by Dr Senior.
